Insurance This is an adventurous activity and some of our routes pass through remote areas. Please be aware, that Heritage Line’s partnered company “The Indochina Trekking Company” (TITC) provides and operates the biking part during your journey with The Jayavarman. Therefore, Heritage Line is not responsible for any damage occurring during the biking or while being on the biking tour. TITC has a liability insurance covering 3rd party, only. You are requested to purchase your own travel and health insurance. It is essential that you purchase a travel insurance which also covers helicopter emergency evacuation and repatriation. On arrival, please hand copies of emergency contact numbers to the biking guide. TITC can help you to purchase both insurances. Please advise us if you need assistance when booking the bike trip.
Vaccinations and Health At least 4 months before your journey, we recommend you to consult a local general practitioner for up to date advice on suggested vaccines and malaria prophylaxis.
First Aid All biking guides have received basic first aid training. Our biking guides will be carrying a first aid kit, but it is recommended that each guest brings her/his own personal first aid supplies. The kit needs to include antiseptic wound wipes, antiseptic liquid/cream, steristrips, sterile gauze and bandage and oral rehydration sachets.
Weather The climate is mainly hot and humid throughout, but there are a range of climate differences between the North and the South. The South is generally quite tropical, with warm temperatures throughout the year. The sun can be intense, so make sure to bring sunscreen. We also recommend bringing a raincoat.
Essential Biking Gear We provide you helmet and a water bottle. According to your needs, please bring your own gloves and shorts; stiff soled cycling shoes or trainers; eye protection; lightweight waterproof jacket; insect repellent; sunhat; strong sunscreen, puncture repair kit. |
