South East Asia covers an area of about
4,100,000 km² and includes the following
countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Burma,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore
and Thailand.
Countries in Southeast Asia practice many
different religions. The Mainland countries
Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and
Myanmar mainly practice Buddhism. Also
Singapore predominantly follows this religion.
South East Asia is also known for its rice paddy
agriculture, which has existed here for
thousands of years under the good conditions of
the monsoon climate. The maintenance of these
rice fields is very labor-intensive.
